LemonWash for Parrot's Asteroid Car Receiver

The idea behind BeMyApp is to cooperate within a heterogenous team composed of developers, designers and comunity manager to develop a mobile application in 48h. It's a no stop coding exeprience during a weekend. First at all, there is pitchs where ideators prensent their ideas during 1mn in front of a jury composed of professionals in Internet technologies. Then jury will choose best 5 ideas that will compete during the week end. 
After, the choice being annonced teams are built to start right coding, so if you are a developer, a designer, or have a great idea, BeMyApp is the right place to go.

Parrot's Asteriod: 1st Android-based Car Receiver

I participated to one of BeMyApp week-ends (which was held at l’IESA Multimédia [Campus Opéra] from May, 11st to 13rd 2012) and I end-up with the winning team. It was the Parrot Asteriod week-end. For this Android special week-end, it was about developing applications for Parrot's Asteroid the first connected car receiver  is the first car receiver with web service apps, voice recognition and hands-free telephone. This hackathon was really about inventing the future car. Also, it was the kind of events were you meet great people and personailities, here Parrot's Marketing Manager presenting the event (it is in french).

During this week-end we made LemonWash an Android application that allows driver to request car wash service. Unlike Cherry where the car owner have to login into a web site to perform a request, with LemonWash the driver can request car wash service directly from the car receiver. The use cas is as follow:

"John Doe is in the car driving to go meet a client, he want to wash his car because the last time he did it was a long time a go. The problem, he has no time during the whole week, so what he can do? Fortunatelly, he has LemonWash application installed on his device, upon arriving to the client he request car wash service with LemonWash, within the request the GPS location of the car is sent to the server. The later we notify the closest and available employee to go locate and wash the car. The driver does not have to stand waiting for the washer, he is free to go for his meeting. After washing the car, the driver will be automaticaally charged for the service, he can gives his feed back and rank the washer performance".

LemonWash is an Android project with a back-end built with PHP. It's the winner of Parrot's hackathon.
LemonWash is built for Asteroid OS which is Android 1.5 API level 3, this car receiver supports Andorid application just like Android smartphones.The application code source can be found at GitHub here. Here an in action demo of LemonWash:
